Here is some information on my experience with Polypay fleece.   The picture is a comparison of locks from a black Cormo, white polypay, and the last lock on the right is from an islet shetland.

 - Polypay fleeces do vary by sheep.  I have sheep that have finnsheep type fleeces as well as sheep with Rambouillet or Targee type fleeces.

 - Fleeces are uniform on each animal as in other breeds.

 - Fleeces can be very white to a creamy white, and some have a nice sheen.

 - Crimp varies by animal and some fleeces have been used for doll hair and Santa beards!

Polypay fleeces are a medium to fine fleece, with lamb fleeces exceptionally fine.  I have heard a few people describe polypay fiber and yarn as similar to cotton in the way it feels.

Examples of three polypay sheep fleeces.  Two are very fine, while the third has some nice sheen.  The crimp also varies by sheep.
