The name Polypay comes from "poly" meaning many much and "pay" to indicate return on investment and labor.

We maintain a small flock of polypay sheep in southern Wisconsin. We do not lose any sleep during lambing seasons - our ewes do it all themselves! Our sheep lamb in the spring, summer, fall or winter depending on our schedule. It is rare for us to have a bottle lamb, as the ewes are great mothers. As a medium size breed with strong flocking instinct, polypays are easy to handle and are a multi-purpose breed.
Below are NEW EPDs for our current and past rams. This year also contains data for the number of lambs weaned and the pounds of lambed weaned. With the addition of these two new categories our rams all rank well above average; a result of utilizing NSIP data to improve traits across our flock.
Our ewes also have generations of flock performance records from the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP).
