Our flock goals including breeding low maintenance, high quality stock, utilizing NSIP data and sound business practices. Many of our sheep are in the top 25% of the breed, but not all of them. Certain sheep are kept for specific traits to ensure we have a balance flock - this includes structure, NSIP traits, and ease of care (such as sheep that show natural resistance to worms and sheep that perform well without grain). Over time, utilizing our goals along with NSIP data as a tool results in a balanced flock with high NSIP numbers (and happy shepherds!).
The 2010 lambing will start in late March into May, and available stock will be limited.
Pictured are 2009 Ram lambs available. These rams are ranked in top 95% of the breed!
Participating in the National Sheep Improvement Program has helped us develop a flock to maximize our profits. Polypay's early maturity, quick growth, multiple lambs and lambing out of season allows the shepherd the most flexibility for quick profits. Contact us for more information.
