The emphasis of our site is on Polypay and Shetland sheep, including breeding stock, fleeces, and information links.  Our Polypay flock is enrolled in the National Sheep Improvement Program, while the Shetland flock contains all colors with the exception of white!

Welcome to The Hopping Ewe!!  Use the tabs to navigate and learn about two different breeds of sheep - Polypay and Shetland.

Polypay sheep are a multi purpose medium size breed that provides market lambs as well as quality fleeces.

Shetland sheep are an ancient breed known mainly for their beautiful natural colored fleeces.
